Appa didn't have a heart attack, we are pained to hear such rumours: Dhruv Vikram

Dhruv Vikram, son of actor Vikram, has provided an update regarding latter's health condition.

Druv said that Vikram didn't have a heart attack and it was only a mild chest pain. Vikram was later admitted to a hospital. Dhruv said the 'rumours' really hurt the family.

He stated that his family need privacy, and Chiyaan is doing fine now.

Vikram was admitted to Kauvery Hospital, Chennai, on Friday at noon. Initial reports mentioned it was a heart attack. Later, Vikram's manager Suryanarayanan tweeted that it wasn't a heart attack but only a small chest discomfort.

"Vikram is doing fine and is expected to discharge within a day. Fans shouldn't believe the rumours, and his family needs privacy now, "Suryanarayanan requested. The hospital reported that he is out of critical condition.

Vikram was expected to participate in the teaser launch of 'Ponniyin Selvan' directed by Mani Ratnam on Friday evening as he plays an important character in the movie. His recent movie was the OTT released 'Mahaan'. The psychological action thriller 'Cobra' is Vikram's upcoming movie which will hit the theatres on August 11.
