The upcoming Malayalam movie 'Mike', with its talented cast and crew is raising the bar of expectations. The details of the crew were released by the makers through the social media handles of Mike.Actor John Abraham's JA Entertainment which has produced commercially and critically acclaimed movies like 'Vicky Donor', 'Paramanu' and 'Madras Cafe' is bankrolling 'Mike'. This is JA Entertainment's maiden production venture in Malayalam.
'Mike', distributed by Century Films is slated to release on August 19 in theatres.
After introducing talented actors like Ayushmann Khurrana to movies, JA Entertainment is coming with debutant Ranjith Sajeev who is playing the male lead in 'Mike'.
Anaswara Rajan who impressed the audience with her mature performances in 'Udaharanam Sujatha', 'Thanner Mathan Dinangal' and 'Super Sharanya' is donning the female lead.
Directed by 'Beware of Dogs' fame Vishnu Sivaprasad, 'Mike' is scripted by Aashiq Akbar Ali who previously penned 'Kala Viplavam Pranayam'.
'Mike' is Hesham Abdul Wahab's first Malayalam outing after his state award-winning work 'Hridayam'. 'Mike' is a musically rich film with multiple songs and Hesham's involvement makes it more exciting.
There is an experienced technical crew behind 'Mike' including Stunt Choreographer Phoenix Prabhu who has worked in acclaimed films like 'Kala', 'Operation Java' etc, national award-winning editor Vivek Harshan and Cinematographer Renadive who worked in popular films including the recent one 'Shylock'.
The film also has an ensemble cast including Rohini Molletti, Jinu Joseph, Akshay Radhakrishnan, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Dayyana Hameed, Karthik Manikandan, Rakesh Murali, Rahul, Nehaan, Roshan Chandra, Vettukili Prakash and Sini Abraham.
The film deals with a contemporary significant theme and has been shot in five different states.
