CPM top brass pay visit to ailing Kodiyeri Balakrishnan
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has been ailing for sometime and reports say that the veteran will leave for Chennai on Monday for treatment. In a related development, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan and CPM general secretary on Sunday visited Kodiyeri
It is learnt that Kodiyeri has intimated his willingness to step down from the position and the visit of CPM top brass has been attributed to this.
CPM leadership is in crucial discussions on the selection of new state secretary. It is speculated that veteran MV Govindan may take over as state secretary.
The tussle between CPM-led government and Governor Arif Muhammad Khan among others are the hot topics for discussions by the leadership.
