Kochi: Actor Sreenath Bhasi was released on station bail after recording his arrest at Maradu police station in connection with a case of allegedly abusing a woman anchor of a YouTube channel and her camera crew. The complainant alleged that Sreenath Bhasi misbehaved with her during a promotional video interview of the actor’s latest movie.

Sreenath Bhasi was summoned to Maradu police station at 10 am on Monday. Police denied his request to grant more time for appearing at the station. Hence, he arrived at 1 pm the same day with his friends.

His arrest was recorded at around 5 pm following a detailed interrogation. Later he was released under station bail. The anchor also lodged complaint with the women’s commission and producers’ association.

Meanwhile, the complainant asserted that she would proceed with the case as she has no dearth of evidence against the actor.

Some assume that they can pour out anything to anyone. This could be changed only by reacting promptly, the anchor said.
