Kochi: The health of veteran Malayalam actor and former MP Innocent, who has been admitted to a hospital in Ernakulam for nearly a week, has slightly improved.

He is responding well to medication, said hospital sources.

The actor was rushed to the hospital due to ailments. Later he was entered into critical care as an infection developed in the lungs.

The actor who is recognised as a master of comedy has completed 50 years in the industry. He is also known for iconic character roles. Apart from being an actor, he rose to fame as a writer and politician.
