Palakkad: National award winning actor Aparna Balamurali won KP Kesava Menon Award instituted under KP Kesava Menon Memorial Trust to commemorate the freedom fighter, who was also the founder of ‘Mathrubhumi’.
The award consists of Rs 25,000 and a plaque. Kerala State Chalachitra Academy chairman Ranjith will hand over the award to Aparna at KP Kesava Menon auditorium in Tarur on November 9.
The office-bearers of the trust informed that Mathrubhumi Managing Director MV Shreyams Kumar will deliver the commemorative speech at the function to be presided by PP Sumod MLA.
Palakkad- Tarur native Aparna Balamurali hails from the family of KP Kesava Menon.
