Mammootty, Mohanlal, Aashiq Abu with Shah Rukh Khan
Aashiq Abu responded to the rumours over his movies with Shah Rukh Khan, Mohanlal and Mammootty. He was responding to the questions in an interview ahead of the release of his new movie, 'Naaradan'.
Aashiq reportedly had visited Shah Rukh Khan at his residence in Mumbai with scriptwriter Syam Pushkaran to discuss a movie plan. Their selfie had gone viral. Ashiq confirmed the visit.
The meeting with Shah Rukh Khan was to discuss an idea for a movie with him. But the concept requires more time to develop as a script. Meanwhile, the Covid lockdown delayed scheduled works and caused a lag in the project. Syam Pushkaran is the scriptwriter for one more project with Mammootty in the lead and this movie will also take more time to be accomplished.
Aashiq revealed that the shooting of his next movie ‘Neelavelicham’ will begin in April and no other projects have been scheduled yet. A movie with Mohanlal was planned a long time ago and the discussions are still proceeding.
The movie ‘Neelavelicham’ is based on the work of Vaikkom Muhammad Basheer under the same title. Prithviraj and Reema Kallingal will play major roles. The movie ‘Bhargavi Nilayam’ released in 1964 was also based on the same story. The movie, considered to be a classic of all time, was directed by A Vincent starring Madhu, Vijaya Nirmala and Prem Nazir.
