Unnikrishnan Namboothiri
‘Desadanam’ fame actor Unnikrishnan Namboothiri has recovered from COVID-19 at the age of 98. He was under treatment at a private hospital in Kannur.
He tested negative for the virus on Sunday. His son Bhavadasan stated that everyone is happy for the fast recovery of Unnikrishnan Namboothiri.
Three weeks back, the actor was rushed to the private hospital in Kannur after suffering from pneumonia. Then he had tested negative for COVID-19.
After recovering from pneumonia, he got discharged from the hospital. But within two days, he suffered fever again and wa hospitalized once again. But this time, he tested positive for COVID-19.
“He was admitted in the ICU for two days. But he came back to life after recovering from the virus,” said Bhavadasan Namboothiri.
He did not cast vote in the LSG polls due to the pandemic. It is for the first time, he has skipped voting in his life.
“Father follows a healthy lifestyle. So, he doesn’t have any lifestyle diseases. Earlier, he owned a gym. He has been passionate about fitness from his youth. He was a bodybuilder too,” said his children.
They noted that Unnikrishnan Namboothiri's healthy lifestyle helped him to beat COVID-19 and recoer quickly.
The actor won hearts of Malayali audience as playing the role of grandfather in many movies including ‘Kalyanaraman’, ‘Pokkiriraja’ , ‘Mayamohini’ and ‘Rappakal’.
