Winking anti-Islam; Plea filed in SC to remove ‘Oru Adaar Love’ song
New Delhi: A plea demanding removal of the song “Manikya Malaraya Poovi” from the movie ‘Oru Adaar Love’ has been filed in the Supreme Court by a Hyderabad native Muqeeth Khan and Zaheeruddin Ali Khan. Muqeeth Khan had earlier lodged a complaint against the song in Hyderabad.
The Supreme Court had earlier stayed the investigation into the complaints filed against the song accusing blasphemy. The complainants in the plea raised the demand to remove the song and also want to allow them join as party in the case.
The visuals of the song humiliate Islam. Even winking is anti-Islam, so the song should be removed from YouTube and social media, they demanded in the plea. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan claimed that he is a person dedicated to protect the culture and value of Muslims.
The Supreme Court stayed the investigation into the case registered in Telangana on February 14. The court had barred all states from filing case against the movie. The stay was issued on a plea filed by Director Omar Lulu, Producer Ousepachan Valakuzhy and actor Priya Prakash Varrier.
