Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) has responded over another #MeToo allegation raised against a Malayalam actor. The association has reacted over the issue on their official Facebook page. They criticized the accused actor for the way he dealt with the issue. However, the post did not mention the names of the two actors. They wrote that the actor has mocked the victim when she said that he had sexually misbehaved with her. They pointed out that the accused is the one who does character roles.
In the Facebook post, WCC demanded that the film associations have to form a committee to look into women issues as per the supreme court order. They pointed out that mocking at a women’s complaint is illegal, punishable and sheer injustice. They also complained that Malayalam film industry should start taking such issues seriously. They demanded necessary action in the issue.
