Some are trying to destroy ‘Pathinettam Padi’ via piracy, says director
Thiruvananthapuram: Shankar Ramakrishnan, director of the newly released movie ‘Pathinettam Padi’ said that some are trying to destroy the movie by sharing pirated copies via internet.
The copy of the movie was available in various sites soon after the release of the movie. Associates of the movie have destroyed 28 links of online streaming of the movie, said Shankar during the ‘Meet the Press’ programme here at the Press Club.
Such piracy attack at large hasn’t been reported with any other movies in recent times. Some videotaped the movie using mobile phones from the theatre and uploaded in websites. A complaint has been filed to the DGP Lokanath Behera and ADGP Manoj Abraham.
Nearly 60 new faces including school students were introduced through the movie. Use of drugs are alarmingly increasing among children. And the movie carries a message against this.
Along with Shankar, producer Shaji Nadeshan, actress Ahana Krishna, actors Chandunath, Ambi Neenasam and Mukesh Nair participated in the event.
