Serial actress Sharanya Sasi has contributed a portion of the donations she obtained for her cancer treatment towards flood relief. She contributed Rs 10,000 towards CMDRF.
Sharanya, who was under treatment for tumour is slowly recovering from the illness after her seventh surgery.
In a Facebook post, she noted that she was happy in contributing a share towards Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund for flood relief on Independence Day.
Sharanya has been battling with brain tumour since 6 years. Sources close to her had revealed her critical condition and had sought help through social media to meet the expenses of her treatment.
Sharanya made her debut in acting with the movie ‘Chacko Randaman’. Later, she became popular through television serials. She also acted in Mohanlal starrer Chotta Mumbai, Thalappavu, Bombay March 12 and Ann Mariya Kalippilanu.
