Wait! What? Did we hear it right? Yes. Santhosh Pandit, who faced the wrath of film buffs and critics for his style of movie-making, will now join superstar Mammootty in an upcoming flick.
Santhosh Pandit is known for making movies in which he himself handles the role of director, actor, scriptwriter, editor, music director, lyricist and also playback singer.
It is learned that Pandit has been offered a full-length character in the movie, which will be directed by Ajay Vasudev after ‘Rajadhiraja’. He has reportedly given one-month date to the makers. Shooting of Pandit’s scenes in the movie will start on Tuesday at Kollam Fathima Matha College.
Entering the film industry with ‘Krishnanum Radhayum’, Pandit went on to make several films including Superstar Santhosh Pandit, Minimolude Achan, Kalidasan Kavithayezhuthukayanu and Tintumon Enna Kodeeswaran. In all these movies, Pandit single-handedly managed roles both behind and in front of the camera.
His latest movie ‘Urukku Satheeshan’ is ready for release. This is Pandit’s first movie with another director.
Mammootty is playing the role of a teacher in the movie, long after such a character in ‘Mazhayethum munpe”. Uday Krishna, who penned the script for Pulimurugan, will ready the script of the movie.
Unni Mukundan, Mukesh, Maqbul Salmaan, Gokul Suresh Gopi, Poonam Bawja, Mahima Nambiar, Pashaanam Shaji, Bijukuttan, Divya Darshan, Sunil Sugatha, Kalabhavan Shajon, Ganesh Kumar and Captain Raju are playing other important characters.
