Remuneration cut: A.M.M.A, FEFKA to hold talks with producers
Kochi: Amid the pandemic outbreak and financial crisis, the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (A.M.M.A) and Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) have informed that they are ready to discuss the remuneration cut issue with producers.
Both associations have forwarded a letter to the producers’ association regarding this on Wednesday. The producers have taken a stance that a decision on remuneration cut of actors and technicians will be taken after detailed discussions.
The Malayalam film producers have demanded that the actors and others must reduce their remuneration by 25 to 50 percent to overcome the financial crisis due to the lockdown.
A.M.M.A general secretary Edavela Babu informed that the association will discuss the matter during its executive meeting.
“A decision will be taken after holding talks with the 19 associations under FEFKA,” said FEFKA general secretary B Unnikrishnan.
