Priya Varrier says no intention to hurt Sridevi’s family
Mollywood actress Priya Varrier who rose to fame with a winking scene in the movie ‘Oru Adaar Love’ is busy with her Bollywood debut Sridevi Bungalow. The movie directed by Prasanth Mambully triggered controversy by relating the movie with late veteran actress Sridevi Kapoor’s life.
Now, Priya and Sridevi Bungalow team have come forward to clarify the misconceptions surrounding the movie.
“There are some misconception on the movie Sridevi Bunglow when the first teaser come out. I would like to clarify that there is nothing to do with actress Sridevi’s life or death in the movie. We don’t have any intention to hurt sentiments of Sridevi ji’s family. The movie is just a suspense thriller,” said Priya in a video posted by the team ‘Sridevi Bungalow’ on YouTube.
Director Prasanth Mambully, producers Chandrasekhar and Manish Nair also are seen along with her in the video. The team asserted that the movie is not based on actress Sridevi’s life or death.
“Some scenes in the first teaser and the title led to the controversy alleging that the movie is based on actress Sridevi’s life. At that point of time, we failed to give a clarity on these misconceptions. We also came to know about the controversy through media. Now, I would like to clarify all the misconceptions over the movie,” added Priya.
She also thanked her audience for supporting the movie and noted that the second teaser got good response from audience.
