Ambalappuzha: Temple goers were taken aback a bit when they saw Sreekrishna Swamy temple decorated with flowers and ‘kavadi’ on the temple premises, like in the day of a festival. Later when they saw the cameras, they realised it was a move shooting taht was going on.
The shoot was of a Tamil movie in which actor Vikram was starring. Most people in the crowd were only thinking of a selfie with the popular Tamil actor but some of them ended up acting in it. The movie directed by Ajay Jnanamurugan also has actors such as Mammukkoya acting.
The makers were very careful about not leaking any sort of details about the movie. There were severe restrictions on even taking photographs on the set. They also took a break from the shoot not to interrupt the temple rituals such as ‘Sheeveli’. The shoot was that of a wedding engagement scene from the movie.
A lot of people from Ambalappuzha were able to play a part of the crowd involved in the movie scene. They were given a remuneration of Rs 1200 to Rs 2000. Some photographers were also given an opportunity to act as cameraman in the movie.
The memory cards from their cameras were removed in order to prevent any leakage of the shooting scene. The shooting has been scheduled in Alappuzha for 5 days.
