Navya Nair recollects her 'Nandanam' days and the 2 things that attract her
The character of Balamani played by actress Navya Nair in the movie ‘Nandanam’ directed by Ranjith received widespread acclaim for her innocence and naughtiness and the devotion to Lord Guruvyurappa.
Navya Nair was appreciated for doing her role to perfection. She remembers that she did not even realise that ‘Nandanam’ was a female-lead-oriented movie.
“I have not thought that Raju (Prithviraj) will end up being a great actor. Because both of us were not very aware of anything. We used to get upset when Ranjiyettan (Ranjith) scolded us," Navya recollects.
"I didn’t know that Ranjith was such a respected director. I realised that Prithvi is a great actor and has a good personality only after some time. I didn’t even know that ‘Nandanam’ was a woman-oriented movie,” she said.
Navya also told about the huge number of proposals she received at that time.
“I used to get many love letters then. Some claimed that the letter was written with their blood. Actually, I had a love affair at that time. Be it then or now, there are two things that attract me the most. One is children and the other is love. Basically, I have a loving heart,” Navya said.
