Mollywood extends support to Prithviraj over Lakshadweep issue
Malayalam film fraternity including stars and directors expressed solidarity with actor Prithviraj who faced a cyber attack for revealing his stance on Lakshadweep row.
Actor Aju Varghese, directors Jude Anthony, Midhun Manuel Thomas, Arun Gopi and actor Antony Varghese Pepe took to their social media pages extending support to Prithviraj.
In a post shared on social media, Prithviraj expressed his concern for the people of Lakshadweep who is distressed in the reforms of the new administrator. As the post went viral, many people including BJP leaders attacked the actor.
Following this, some people in the Mollywood film fraternity came forward to defend the actor.
“When somebody is telling his opinion, the reply should not be vulgar. Let’s end the controversies and allow debates,” wrote Aju Varghese on his social media pages. He also shared a photo of Prithviraj along with the write-up.
Actors including Tovino Thomas and Lena reacted to Aju’s post extending support to Prithviraj.
‘Anjaam Pathiraa’ director Midhun Manuel Thomas lauded Prithviraj’s stance.
“Raju bro is always superb,” he wrote.
Director Jude Anthony Joseph also penned a note appreciating Prithviraj’s personality and his successful career.
“Prithviraj is a person who always declares his stance in a decent way. We will feel jealous of his personality as he was successful to live each dream. Years back, he neglected the attacks against him and responded to all with his films. So, he will be laughing over the cyber attacks against him,” wrote Jude.
Actor Antony Varghese also shared a pic of Prithviraj supporting him.
