Manju Warrier’s complaint: Crime Branch raids VA Shrikumar’s office, house
Palakkad: The Crime Branch has taken action against 'Odiyan' director VA Shrikumar over actress Manju Warrier’s complaint.
A team of officials led by crime branch DySP Sreenivas raided Shrikumar Menon’s house and office here on Thursday evening. It is reported that the director will be interrogated on Sunday.
In October, Manju Warrier had lodged a complaint against the director with DGP Loknath Behera. In her complaint, Manju Warrier stated that she was facing death threat from the director.
In her handwritten complaint against Shrikumar, Manju Warrier pointed out that the director has tried to tarnish her image on social media by posting defamatory comments and memes.
It is also reported that the director shouted and humiliated her during a celebration at the sets of ‘Odiyan’movie.
In view of this, the Crime Branch officials have recorded the statements of eye witnesses to the incident including producer Antony Perumbavoor, production controller Saji C Joseph, Manju’s auditor and Manju Warrier Fans Association secretary Rekha.
