Mammootty turns a real hero, spends time with kids from tribal colony
Palakkad: Children from the tribal hamlets near Mangalam dam and Attappadi had an opportunity to meet megastar Mammootty. They greeted the star with rose flowers at Varikkasseri mana here on Wednesday.
The actor treated the kids with tea and sweets. The kids arrived to meet the star to express their gratitude towards him for meeting their needs since 5 years.
Care and Share International Foundation, a non-profit charitable organisation, founded by Mammootty has been providing all help and support to the tribal hamlets since the last 5 years. Distribution of study materials, medical support, PSC coaching, library and expert medical care are being provided to the tribal people in Attappadi, Nenmara and Nelliyampathi.
Though Mammootty has visited people in tribal colonies in various parts of the state, he had not visited the people in Attapadi and Mangalam dam.
The children were accompanied by tribal promotors when they arrived to meet the star. The actor was excited to receive his little fans. He also found time to interact with each children.
When the kids informed their complaints to him, he immediately made arrangements to solve it.
Mammootty informed that his organisation will launch new projects as per the needs of the children in Attapadi and Mangalam dam.
Actor Rajakiran, Care and Share Managing Director Fr Thomas Kurian Marottipuzha, foundation directors Robert Kuriakose, George Sebastian, Forest Legal officer Indu KR, film director Ajay Vasudev and others were present.
Mammotty arrived at Varikkasseri Mana for the shooting of his upcoming movie Shylock directed by Ajay Vasudev.
