Mammootty aims to turn sharp shooter, joins rifle club in Alappuzha
Cherthala: With the new year, Mollywood actor Mammootty has decided to learn something new in his life. The megastar has joined Alappuzha rifle club to learn shooting as a professional.
On Wednesday, Mammootty took P.34 membership at the rifle club. Kicking off his training, rifle club secretary Kiran Marshal loaded a 2.2 rifle for him. When he pointed the rifle at the shooting range and fired, his fans celebrated the moment with cheers. He shot five rounds at the shooting range.
As it was not a movie shooting, Mammootty was excited when the bullets passed through the target. Large number of his fans including students arrived at the rifle club to have a glimpse of the star.
The 'Mamangam' actor received his membership from district collector M Anjana who is the rifle club president. He arrived at the club around 10.30 am and spent half an hour here.
Director turned actor Renji Panicker also accompanied him.
“While shooting for a movie, Renji taught me how to use a gun,” said Mammootty.
District police chief KM Tomy, Kiran Marshal and AC Santha Kumar received Mammootty at the rifle club.
Mammootty declared that he will continue his practice at the rifle club.
