Lijo Jose `Jallikattu' vying for Golden Peacock award at IFFI
Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Jallikattu’ has been selected as one of the two Indian films that will be competing for the coveted Golden Peacock award at the International Film Festival of India in Goa. Ananth Mahadevan’s Mai Ghat: Crime No. 103/2005 is the other Indian movie to compete in the competition section along with ‘Jallikattu.’
This is the second year in a row that Lijo Jose Pellissey’s movie has been selected for competition section at IFFI. Last year Pellissery bagged the Silver Peacock award for the best director at the festival after his movie ‘Ee. Ma.Yau.’ was selected in the competition section.
Both 'Jallikattu' and 'Mai Ghat: Crime No. 103/2005' will compete with 13 other movies from around the world in the 50th Golden Jubilee edition of IFFI.
