Kevin death: Joy Mathew enraged over stoic silence of cultural leaders
Actor - director Joy Mathew has strongly condemned the honour killing of Kevin in Kottayam. He was enraged in the silence maintained by the literary, art and cultural leaders in the state despite the cruel act committed.
Joy Mathew said in a Facebook post that the minister was demanding a prayer song for Kerala to the literary, art and cultural leaders at Thrissur while Kevin was being beaten to death for marrying his love.
The cultural leaders remained silent about the brutal murder and inactiveness of police because they write poetry on love, revolution and inter-caste marriages, he said.
Joy Mathew said that he does not belong to their group and that is why he is protesting. We need a prayer song, but to whom we should pray, he asked.
