Kerala Film Critics Award 2019: Nivin Pauly, Manju Warrier bag top honours
Thiruvananthapuram: The 44th Kerala Film Critics Awards have been announced. 'Jallikettu' won the award for best film while Lijo Jose Pellissery, director of the same movie, won best director honour.
Nivin Pauly bagged the best actor award for ‘Moothon’. Manju Warrier won the best actress award for ‘Prathi Poovankozhi’.
Meanwhile, Geetu Mohandas bagged best female director award for ‘Moothon’.
Kerala Film Critics Awards are another film awards like Kerala State Film Awards which honour the best works in the film industry under a jury.
Dr George Onakkur, Kerala Film Critics Association president and Jury chairman announced the winners.
Thekkinkkadu Joseph, Balan Thiruamala, Dr Aravindan Vallachira, Prof. Joseph Mathew Pala and A Chandrasekharan were the other jury members.
A total of 40 films were considered for the award.
Meanwhile, director Hariharan will be honoured with ‘Chalachithra Rathnam’ award for his contributions to the film industry.
Mammootty who completed more than 40 years in the film industry will be honoured with Critics Ruby Jubilee Award.
Cinematographer S Kumar, art director Nemam Pushparaj, actress Sethulakshmi and Nana Photographer Kollam Mohan will be honoured with ‘Chalachithra Prathibha’ award.
