Jayasurya turns saviour for Bengal-native who lay bleeding on road
Jayasuraya turned a hero in real life by saving an accident victim who was found lying on road bleeding after being hit by a vehicle.
While the public neglected the injured man, the actor made his entry as a saviour for a Bengal resident named Dhappa. This occurred on Tuesday morning in Kochi.
“I don’t know the details of the person. Not even his name and place,” Jayasurya told mathrubhumi.com.
Even Dhappa has no idea that he was rescued by a popular actor in Malayalam film industry.
Dhappa is a labourer living at Vennala. The accident occurred while he was on the way to work.
“The vehicle hit him and sped away. He lay bleeding on road but witnesses ignored him. Some onlookers took pictures of the bleeding man while some argued over who will take him to hospital. At this moment, a man stopped his car and approached him,” said Dhappa’s friend Parasuraman.
Jayasurya was on the way to a shooting location at Angamaly and found the accident victim on the road.
“I found a crowd near Oberon Mall. I asked my driver to stop the vehicle as I suspected chances of accident. When the man was bleeding, people were quarrelled each other without any concern for him. When I approached him, he was struggling with pain. A boy among the crowd helped me to take him to the hospital,” said Jayasurya.
“When we reached the hospital, many people thought that he was hit by my vehicle. I told them that I don’t know the person and somebody hit him and sped away from the spot,” he added.
Jayasurya said that Dhappa thankfully looked at him when he started to leave the hospital.
“I don’t feel I had done a great job. Let me clear one thing. Anyone can make a mistake in life. Our vehicle may hit a person but we should not leave him on road to die. If we find an accident victim, we should take him to hospital. Never waste your energy by arguing with others in such a crucial situation," he stated.
Dhappa left hospital after treatment during afternoon. He expects to get back to work soon.
