It’s just a beginning for me, says Indrans
Malayalam actor Indrans who won the Kerala state film award for the best actor said he has just started his achievement. He made the statement when the media asked about his response on the delay to get an honour as an actor.
“I don’t think it’s too late to win a state award. I always had a couple of good friends in the industry in every period of my career. They used to help to get good roles and I just do it as I can,” said the actor.
The actor has won the award for the movie ‘Alorukkam’ directed by VC Abhilash. Indrans portrayed the role of a Ottanthulal artiste in the movie.
“Alorukkam is a touching movie. I am thankful to the director and producer for casting me in the movie. I have successfully completed the project with their help,” noted the actor.
Indrans got training from Ottanthulal artistes to play the role in the movie.
“I am not happy with my Ottanthullal performance in the movie. Though I got trained, It was difficult to take the movements,” he added.
“Many years ago, I made my entry in the industry as a tailor. I have made costumes for many actors. Later some of my friends have given me minor roles in movies,” Indrans recollected his memories.
He said that the audience like his roles as a comedian.
“I need support of everyone to do better roles in future,” said the actor seeking the support of his audience.
