IFFI 2017: Parvathy wins Best Actress award
Panaji: Malayalam actress Parvathy has bagged the best actress award at the 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Parvathy has been selected for the award for her performance in the film Take off, directed by Mahesh Narayanan.
Take off has won the Special Jury award for the best film.
In the film, Parvathy portrayed the character of Sameera, who was trapped at Tikrit in Iraq.
Take off was the only Malayalam film in the competition category of IFFI.
This is the first time in the history of GOA IFFI that a Malayalam actress is bagging the Best Actress award.
