Have good screenplay? Here’s a start-up to help you produce movies
Giving hope to the to-be film makers, a start-up has come up offering fund for producing the movie and much more. Budget Lab productions, a start-up ideated by Nishanth Pillai, intends to help the youngsters who wants to make short films.
The company had already conducted two competitions to find a good screenplay. The third competition is going on. Over 1000 screenplay entries have come. Three selected screenplays will be given Rs one lakh each. Also the first five winning candidates will get an opportunity to discuss their script with Friday Film House owned by Vijay Babu.
Budget Lab Productions produced two screenplays that won the first two competitions, using self-raised fund. There are many youngsters who have impressive stories and screenplays with them, but they have no idea of whom they should approach for producing the movie. Budget Lab Productions come to their rescue by offering advice and guidelines.
Nishanth Pillai had been working in an IT company for 20 years and has been developing the Budget lab Productions for the past 4 years. The company also plans to produce web series. ‘More effort is needed to attain the goal than start a company. We could help many young people. A start-up in film production is our target,’ Nishanth Pillai said.
Even if the screenplay could not win the competition, Budget Lab Productions will help them. They seek the concepts for the campaigns and ad film making of private companies from them. Each concept is relevant. So, it can be used for some other purpose, the company opined.
