Mollywood superstar Mammootty is celebrating his 68th birthday on September 7. Celebrities in the industry and his fans celebrated the day with greetings to the actor through social media.
Stars including Prithviraj, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Nivin Pauly, Soubin Shahir and others greeted Mammootty on his birthday.
“Happy birthday Legend! For all that the world has seen..I know..we know..your best is yet to come! Forever a fan!,” greeted Prithviraj.
Actor Unni Mukundan penned an emotional post wishing happy birthday to Mammootty.
“This man has played great roles in my life. My teacher in the film industry, a friend who advises me, a brother who inspires me and he was always there to support me. He is beyond words. Happy birthday Mammookka,” wrote Unni Mukundan by sharing a pic with the legend.
“Wishing the legend who turns a year younger today! Happy happy birthday dear Mammukka,” wrote Nivin Pauly by sharing a poster which featured Mammootty with a caption ‘The face of Indian Cinema’.
Mammotty aka Muhammad Kutty made his acting debut in 1971 with the film ‘Anubhavangal Palalichakal’ directed by KS Sethumadhavan. His first film as a hero was ‘Mela’ directed by KG George and released in 1980. He has won three national awards. In 1998, the government of India honoured him with Padma Shri.
On the occasion of his birthday trailer of his upcoming movie ‘Ganagandharvan’ was released on Friday. The movie is directed by actor Ramesh Pisharody. He will be seen in the big budget movie ‘Mamangam’ directed by M Padmakumar.
