Grand audio launch of 'Mamangam' held in Kochi
Kochi: The audio launch of M Padmakumar’s s big budget period film 'Mamangam' in which actor Mammootty plays the central character, was held in Kochi. The audio was formally launched by Mammootty, former Supreme Court judge Cyriac Joseph and director Hariharan. The event also unveiled the first song from the movie and its making of the video.
Film stars Tovino Thomas, Samyuktha Menon, Anu Sithara, Unni Mukundan, Sunny Wayne, Prachi Tehlan, director Lal Jose, Hariharan, music composer M Jayachandran, entrepreneur Sohan Roy and MP Hibi Eden were present at the occasion.
“The Movie is going to be a class film” said Mammootty. "Mamangam is a story of revenge that has been passed down through generations. The movie would also do justice to history" he added.
This is the second time Mammootty is going to wield his sword after his blockbuster movie 'Pazhassi Raja'. Mamangam tells the story of the brave ‘Chaverukal’ warriors who laid down their lives to the service of their country. Earlier, there was news that the film set was made at a cost of over Rs 10 crore.
Sources feel the movie is all set to create history in the Mollywood industry. Directed by M Padmakumar, the movie stars Unni Mukundan, Siddique, Anu Sithara, Kaniha, Iniya, Tarun Arora, Sudev Nair, Manikandan, Suresh Krishna, Mammooty and Master Achuthan.
