FEFKA extends support to Bhagyalakshmi
Thiruvananthapuram: Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) extended support to dubbing artiste Bhagyalakshmi after she manhandled a man who insulted women through offensive YouTube videos. Bhagyalaskhmi, Sreelakshmi Arakkal and Diya Sana manhandled Vijay P Nair, a YouTuber, who posted videos insulting women.
On Saturday, the trio reached the lodge where Vijay was staying and attacked him. They poured black oil on him and made him apologize to women over the content in his videos.
Later, police booked Bhagyalakshmi over charges including theft as per the complaint of Vijay P Nair. As the issue triggered controversy, many VIPs extended support to Bhagyalakshmi and friends.
Health Minister KK Shailaja also appreciated Bhagyalakshmi and others for taking such a strong stand for women.
In the statement issued through Facebook, FEFKA hailed Bhagyalakshmi as an epitome of strength and a woman who is often subjected to attacks. FEFKA also hailed her for taking a firm stance for women.
