Dialogues in Kasaba a criminal offence, says Vaisakhan
Thrissur: Popular writer and Kerala Sahithya Akademi president Vaisakhan has extended support to actor Parvathy who was trolled on social media for commenting against dialogues of Mammootty in the movie ‘Kasaba’. He slammed the writer who wrote the dialogues for the movie and noted that he has committed a criminal offence to Kerala.
He was inaugurating the literary meet organised in connection with Kerala School Kalolsavam at Thrissur.
“The society is still questioning actress Parvathy for her comments against Kasaba instead of questioning the director and the actor of the movie,” he criticised the makers of Kasaba.
“Parvathy, who reacted to the movie, is a powerful woman like Unniyarcha. She has done the job that should be done by literature,” he added.
“Literature should defend the communalism in the society. Literature plays a major role in developing culture among the people. Hence, every work should preserve the modesty of our culture,” said the writer.
He noted that hero worship is a mental disease and such people will not be able to think in the right sense.
