Compromise reached on ‘Mohanlal’ plagiarism controversy
Thrissur: Script writer Kalavoor Ravikumar said that the issues regarding the movie ‘Mohanlal’ has been settled. The movie starring Manju Warrier and directed by Sajid Yahiya will release as per previously announced on April 14 itself.
Earlier the Thrissur fast track court had stayed the release of ‘Mohanlal’.
Ravikumar told mathrubhumi.com, that he has been promised of Rs 5 lakh for the story of the movie.
He added that the compromise talks are in the last stage and if everything goes well, the case will be withdrawn on Thursday itself.
Earlier, in the complaint, Ravikumar said that the film for which Suneesh Varanad wrote the script, is based on his short story collection 'Mohanlaline Enikkippol Bhayankara Pediyanu.'. He had also filed a complaint with FEFKA in this regard.
The court then heard the arguments of both the sides and read the script. Further it had stayed the release of the movie until the final verdict on the case is out.
