Popular playback singer KS Chithra who is knowns as ‘Kerala’ s Vanambadi’ will turn 57 years old on July 27. To make this birthday memorable, one of the fans penned a song on her. Cherthala Kadkarappally native Ranjith Ramesh is the great Chithra fan who took the effort to write a song honouring his favourite singer.
Interestingly, the song has gone viral after Chithra uploaded it on her official YouTube channel. Music director Sharreth rendered voice to the song composed by Anand R Jayaram.
Ranjith is excited as Chithra accepted his lyrics as her birthday song and a musical genius like Sharreth rendered voice to it.
“I have been writing songs for a long time. But I did not get an opportunity in the film industry. When I was studying for BEd, I met music director Anand R Jayaram through my friends,” said Ranjith.
As Anand found Ranjith’ s lyrics dedicated to Chithra interesting, he decided to record it as a song. Following this, Sharreth joined the team for the birthday special song to Chithra.
Ranjith has also penned the lyrics for an upcoming movie directed by debutant Sathul Das.
He has also written devotional songs for Kumaranellur temple and Konattussery Maheswaripuram temple. His songs on Coronavirus became popular through Mathrubhumi ‘Dhim Tharikida Thom’ and ‘Vakradrishti’ . He is engaged in the works of Sithara Krishna Kumar’ s upcoming album ‘Neehram’ and another music album ‘Hridayam’ .
Ranjith Ramesh wants to continue his career as a lyricist along with his teaching job.
