Case registered against director Shrikumar Menon on Manju Warrier’s complaint
Thrissur: A case has been registered against Malayalam filmmaker V. A. Shrikumar Menon on the complaint filed by actress Manju Warrier. Thrissur East Police will probe the case under district Crime Branch DySP.
Manju Warrier had lodged a complaint with DGP Loknath Behera pointing that she is afraid that Shrikumar Menon may put her life in danger and that she is facing death threat from him.
She also stated in the complaint that Shrikumar Menon has a personal vendetta against her since the production of the movie ‘Odiyan’. Following this, he threatened and disgraced her on social media, she said in the complaint.
Manju Warrier also noted that she is worried that the letterhead and other documents given to him for official purposes are likely to be misused.
The complaint also raised allegations that Shrikumar Menon and a friend had conspired against Manju and threatened those who work with her.
Manju Warrier had taken a long break from film career after her marriage. She returned to the industry through an ad film directed by Shrikumar Menon. It was Manju Warrier who played the female lead in the movie ‘Odiyan’ directed by him.
