Actress Anjali Nair in home quarantine, says she misses hugs from daughter
Mollywood actress Anjali Nair is observing home quarantine after returning from Africa on June 6. She was also one among the crew members of the movie titled ‘Djibouti’ which got stranded in Africa amid the coronavirus outbreak. The health department allowed Anjali to observe home quarantine after reaching Kerala.
The other day, the actress took to her Facebook page on a live video and shared her experience in Africa and return to Kerala amid the pandemic outbreak.
The trip to Djibouti was Anjali’s first foreign trip. She got 15 days shooting in the African country. On April 4, Anjali wrote on her Facebook page that she completed the shooting and will head back home soon. But Anjali and 69 other crew members got stranded in the foreign land for two months.
“I was missing my daughter Aavani. Still, I am in the same situation. I am eager to touch and hug her. But I know, I am lucky to have a glimpse of my daughter at a small distance when many mothers are far away from their children,” said the actress.
Anjali and ‘Djibouti’ crew members including actors Dileesh Pothen and Amith Chakkalakkal returned to Kerala in the chartered flight arranged by the film producer.
“We were not sure that we will be able to fly back to Kerala even in the last minute due to some issues between the two countries. All safety measures were strictly followed before and after reaching the airport. Checking was strictly carried out. I pre-booked a hotel to observe quarantine after reaching Kochi. But the officials granted permission to observe home quarantine,” said Anjali.
“When I reached home, my mother asked me to wash my hands and legs with water mixed with salt and Dettol. After this cleaning process, I entered my room without touching my mother and daughter. I will strictly continue my 14 days long quarantine in my closed room,” added Anjali.
Anjali will be seen in the role of Dileesh Pothen’s wife in the movie ‘Djibouti’. She noted that 90 percent of the shooting is completed. The shooting in Kerala will resume after the lockdown.
