Actress abduction case: Dileep moves SC
New Delhi: Actor Dileep has approached the supreme court in connection with the actress attack case. The petition filed by him demanded a copy of the memory card that contains the visuals of the attack.
The plea stated that he has the right to see and get evidences relating to the case including the memory card containing visuals of the attack.
The visuals were submitted to the court by the police as the most prominent evidence in the case.
In the plea submitted to the the apex court, Dileep alleged that the visuals in the memory card were edited to deliberately trap him. The visuals are required to prove his innocence, he further said.
The top court is likely to consider the petition before the Christmas holidays.
Senior counsel and former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi will appear for Dileep in the supreme court.
Earlier the pleas requesting the evidences including memory card visuals were rejected by the magistrate court and high court.
