Actor Nitish Bharadwaj offers darshan at Guruvayur Temple
Guruvayur: Actor Nitish Bharadwaj who became popular after playing Lord Krishna in a television serial offered darshan at Guruvayur Temple on Saturday. He reached the temple after an interval of 27 years.
He had reached the Sreevalsam Guest House on Saturday morning at 10.30. Devaswom administrator SV Sisir welcomed him. Mahila Morcha state general secretary C Nivedita, BJP Ernakulam district leader Rajagopal and Keezhedam Raman Namboothiri were also present.
He circumambulated the temple, gave dakshina and received Prasad from Melsanthi Kaliyath Parameswaran Namboodiri. Following this, he went to Perumthatta Temple where ‘Athirarudramahayajnam’ was going on. When he reached there, women fell on his feet and sought blessings. When he asked why they were doing so, Nivedita said it was the devotion of people who watched the reflection of Lord Krishna in him through the Mahabharata serial.
After visiting two temples, he went to Tantrimadam. He had lunch with tantri Chennas Dineshan Namboodiri. The tantri inquired what was his feeling while playing the role of Krishna. He replied that he understood the flaws of his role when he saw the actual appearance of god.
