Actor Joju George leaves booth without casting vote
Mala: When the state faced the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday, Mollywood actor Joju George also rushed to his native place by cancelling his shooting schedule to exercise franchise. But the actor was disappointed when he arrived at the polling booth. He failed to cast vote as his name was not included in the voters list.
He was in US and reached his native place in order to cast his vote.
Joju arrived at the polling booth at Kuzhoor Govt. High School here on Tuesday morning. He had no clue about his name not figuring in the voters list. When the polling booth officials examined the list they found his name missing.
In the last assembly elections, Joju and family had exercised their franchise in this booth.
Recently, Joju and family shifted to a new house at Snehagiri in Mala. It is assumed that his name must have been removed from the list of Thumbarassery ward in Kuzhoor panchayat due to the family’s relocation from here.
His wife Abba's name was also missing in the voters' list. Meanwhile, his father and mother were exercised their franchise.
