'Classmates' actors conduct reunion online amid lockdown
‘Classmates’ directed by Lal Jose is one of the superhit movies in Malayalam. Prithviraj, his brother Indrajith, Jayasurya and Narain who played lead roles in the movie share a strong bond with each other off-screen. Like last year, the four friends had a virtual reunion on Saturday amid the lockdown.
Cherishing the 15 years long friendship, the four stars shared screenshot of their virtual meet on their social media pages.
“Last year’s lockdown, we put out a similar screenshot. Difference this time being, I’m lucky to be at home with family as opposed to the middle of the desert, and India is waging a battle far tougher than same time a year back. As much as we enjoy doing this, we hope the next time it’s out of choice, and not because we cannot meet up for real! Stay home. Stay safe,” wrote Prithviraj as sharing the screenshot of the video call.
Actor Narain expressed his wish to meet his friends in person soon.
“Here v meet again. Lets hope and pray that everything settles down soon with no more lockdowns keeping us apart,” Narain wrote on his Instagram page.
Jayasurya has given a hilarious caption to the screenshot of the video call. He introduced them as so-called actors in the pre-COVID period.
It is reported that the four actors are staying safe at home as shootings are cancelled due to the COVID crisis.
‘Classmates’ released in 2006 had given a great break in the career of the four actors. Set in the background of a college reunion, the movie entertained the audience as a campus movie and thriller at the same time.
