Wish to work with new gen directors, says Jayaram
Mollywood actor Jayaram is excited about his upcoming movie ‘Marconi Mathai’. In an interview with mathrubhumi.com, Jayaram shared his experience and expectations in the film industry.
“I select movies according to the stories which I find interesting. I never bother about its response after release. I think we can’t select movies with an astrologer’s predictions. Some movies will be successful and some will flop in theatres. Sometimes, even good movies will be a flop in theatres,” said the actor.
Talking about his upcoming movie, he stated that he loved the story of 'Marconi Mathai'. It is a love story. The movie will be a great experience for the audience, added the actor.
Kollywood star Vijay Sethupathi is making his debut to mollywood with 'Marconi Mathai'.
“Vijay is staying close to my residence in Chennai. The movie’s story demands a person like Vijay. So as per the director’s request, I approached him and he accepted the offer,” Jayaram said while talking about Vijay Sethupathi’s entry to the movie.
Jayaram also revealed his disappointment over not getting any offer from new generation directors. “New generation directors have not approached me yet. I love to work with the young generation. I take this opportunity to disclose my wish to work with a new gen team,” he added.
Jayaram is busy with the shooting of a Telugu movie starring Allu Arjun.
