Sudheesh opens up about winning first state award in 34 years of film career

After the movie ‘Theevandi’, I again started getting good roles.

Actor Sudheesh bagged the award for best character role (male) in the 51st Kerala state films awards. He won the prestigious award for his impressive performance in the movies ‘Ennivar’ and ‘Bhoomiyile manohara swakaryam’.

“I am so happy. I extend my gratitude to my two directors Sidharth Siva and Shaiju Anthikkad for giving me these roles. Initially, in my career, I used to get some good characters. Later, I was typecasted. After the movie ‘Theevandi’, I started getting good roles. Now after 34 years in the film industry, I got an award” said Sudheesh Sudhakaran.

He added, “I consider this award as a responsibility. There are many more good movies to come. My upcoming movies are ‘Gold’ by Alphonse Puthren, ‘Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham’ starring Nivin Pauly and ‘Lalitham Sundaram’ by Madhu Warrier.
