Dancer turned actress Lakshmi Gopalaswamy won hearts of audience in Kerala with a number of movies including ‘Arayannangalude Veedu’, ‘Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal’, ‘Boyfriend’, ‘Bhramaram’ and ‘Kambhoji’. In an interview with Mathrubhumi Grihalakshmi, the actress talked about her film journey and her experience in Kerala.
“I often get questions on my marriage from Keralites. I hate such questions. I wonder why people are so bothered about a woman’s marriage. Society has nothing to do with it whether a woman has a partner or not,” said Lakshmi.
“Nobody will bother about your marriage if you are in US. But Keralites are always disturbed over a woman who is not married. Marriage is my personal matter. Let it happen when it happens,” added the actress.
The Kambhoji star also opened up about the gender inequality in the film industry. She noted that time has changed many discriminations in the industry.
