Thiruvananthapuram: Music composer Bijibal has arrived here on Saturday to be a part of the 23rd International Film Festival of Kerala. ‘Udalazham’, one of the movies he has worked in will be screened at the festival on the second day.
‘As a film festival that is conducted after the devastating deluge, rebuilding Kerala refers to a renovation through movies too. A cultural rebuilding should be fulfilled through films. The film festival has been organised at minimum expenses this year. I think, in that sense, the festival is more valued this time,’ Bijibal said while speaking to Mathrubhumi.com at the IFFK venue.
‘First I am going to watch the movie 'Udalazham' directed by Unnikrishnan Avala, in which I have also worked. I have heard positive comments about movies like ‘Border’ and I plan to watch them,’ Bijibal told Mathrubhumi.com when asked about his plans for the day at IFFK.
‘Udalazham’ directed by Unnikrishnan Avala will be screened in the International Film Festival on Saturday. Bijibal has composed the background music for the movie. The movie is also the music directorial debut of singer Sithara Krishnakumar. The movie discusses the issues faced by a tribal transgender.
It is the second movie of actor Mani who won the state award for child artist in Mohanlal starrer ‘Photographer’. Anumol plays the female lead. Joy Mathew, Indrans and Sajitha Madathil are the other actors.
