Tollywood actress Rashmika Madanna is making her debut in Mollywood with Vijay Deverakonda starrer multi-lingual movie ‘Dear Comrade’. The actress has won hearts of audience in Kerala with her Telugu movie ‘Geetha Govindam’ starring Vijay Deverakonda.
In an interview with mathrubhumi.com, the star opened up on her upcoming movie and her wish to act in Mollywood.
“My character in Dear Comrade is a cricket player named ‘Lilly’. When I came to know my character is a cricket player, I was excited for the shooting. I think the story relates to real life a lot. There are many emotional scenes too,” said the actress.
Rashmika noted that she took great effort to act as a cricket player in the movie.
“I prepared a lot to play as Lilly’s role. I had long hair and I was forced to cut it for the movie. I was trained in cricket for more than four months. When I was in school and college, I never played cricket. But finally, I became a cricket player for the movie,” Rashmika explained the preparations for Dear Comrade.
Talking about her wish to act in Malayalam films, Rashmika also revealed that she is an ardent fan of Dulquer Salmaan.
“I wish to act with Dulquer. Though it is difficult to remember the title of his films, I love his films. I have a clear idea on Dulquer through social media,” said Rashmika.
She also expressed her wish to act with Nivin Pauly.
“I love to work with friendly people who smile, enjoy and support colleagues while working,” Rashmika added.
In the work front, Rashmika is busy with the shooting of Dhruva starrer Kannada movie ‘Pogaru’. She will play lead role in Telugu movie Bheeshma. In Tollywood, Mahesh Babu’s upcoming movie and Allu Arjun’s movie are also in her kitty. Rashmika will share screen space with Tamil actor Karthi in her next.
