Don’t compare me with Mohanlal: Urvashi
Mollywood star Urvashi has been receiving appreciation for her recent Tamil Movies ‘Soorarai Pottru’ and ‘Mookuthi Amman’. In an interview with Mathrubhumi News, the actress reacted on being addressed as a superstar.
“I believe this superstar title won’t last long. So I would like to be popular as a better actress. There is no need to compare me with the Mollywood superstar Mohanlal,” said Urvashi.
“I don’t bother about my image. I only accept the roles which I believe I can perform well. I think the superstar title will be a burden in future if the audience finds me no more eligible for the title. Lalettan is a great actor. So I don’t think the audience should compare us," added the actress.
The senior actress also opened up about Women in Cinema Collective.
“I have only heard about the organisation. Nobody in WCC ever contacted me. An association to protect the rights of women is a good thing. But I’ m not interested in the moves to tarnish the image of Association of Malayalam Artistes (A.M.M.A) which is engaged in many good activities,” Urvashi cleared her stance.
