Actress Nikhila Vimal reveals her fitness secret
Mollywood actress Nikhila Vimal who impressed audience with movies like ‘Aravindante Athidhikal’ and ‘Love 24X7’ has opened up about her daily routine to stay fit and healthy. In an interview with Mathrubhumi Aarogyamasika, the actress disclosed her fitness secret.
“I used to workout at gym for an hour daily morning or evening if I am free. I am interested in cardio workout rather than machine workout. But unfortunately, I can only continue it when at home. If I am having shoot, the workout session will be interrupted. So, I have to watch my diet to stay fit. Quantity of food will be decreased accordingly. Nowadays, I am learning boxing too,” said Nikhila.
Talking about physical makeover for movies, Nikhila stated that she was asked to put on weight for a Tamil movie.
“When I was shooting for Love 24X7, I was on mission to lose my weight. But I dropped the plan as I was asked to maintain the weight. Then I was 59 kilo. After the movie, I started to workout and now, I am trimmed to 53 kg. As per Body Mass Index, my weight is normal. I think, it is important to stay fit rather than size zero figure.
“Rice and fish curry are my favourite food. But as I became health conscious, I decreased the quantity of rice from my diet. Earlier, if I am at home, I would prefer to have rice three times a day. Now, I have changed the habit. Sometimes, I prefer to have only fruits for dinner,” added the actress.
