Mammooty's daughter Surumi carving an identity of her own
Bengaluru: She is the daughter of a great actor. She is also the sister of the South Indian youth icon and wife of a famous heart surgeon in the country.
However, megastar Mammootty's daughter Surumi Mammootty too is set to reach great heights like her father, brother and husband by carving her own identity as an artist.
Surumi’s drawings of nature in major cities of India is ready for sale.
The paintings are being sold for humanitarian activities of the voluntary organization 'Vas', in which Mammooty, Surumi and her husband Dr Rehan Sayeed are trustees.
Surumi says that she enjoys drawing.
''The support given by Rehan during each stage of the drawing gives me more encouragement. Also, my daddy, mamma and brother Dulquer Salmaan gives good encouragement,'' she said.
Surumi intends to organize an exhibition after doing some more drawings.
Mammootty used to buy drawing instruments and colours for Surumi when he visits foreign countries. These gifts helped Surumi enhance her artistic abilities.
She had bagged many prizes for drawing at the school level. Her passion for drawing made her do Masters in Fine arts.
After doing her graduation in Fine Arts from Stella Maris College in Chennai, Surumi secured her Masters from Chelsea College of Arts, London.
