Premium petrol breaches Rs 100 per litre mark in Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: Petrol and diesel prices continue to rise on a daily basis and premium petrol price in the state capital of Thiruvananthapuram crossed the Rs 100-per-litre mark. A litre of petrol costs Rs 100.20 in Thiruvananthapuram.
In Bathery in Wayanad, extra premium petrol costs Rs 100.24 and in Adimaly it is Rs 100.40.
The price of regular petrol and diesel increased by 28 paise. In Thiruvananthapuram, a litre of petrol costs Rs 97.38 and diesel Rs 92.31. In Kochi, petrol is at Rs 95.43 and diesel at Rs 91.88, Kozhikode Rs 95.68 for petrol and Rs 91.03 for diesel.
In Delhi, the fuel was sold for Rs 95.03 a litre, up from Rs 94.76 on Saturday. Price of petrol in Mumbai crossed the Rs 101-a-litre mark at Rs 101.25 per litre.
Mumbai is not the only city to have unique distinction of petrol breaching the Rs 100 per litre mark.
Thane reached the mark few days back while few other cities in Rajasthan (including Jaipur), Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra with the highest VAT levels on auto fuels in the country, have already been selling normal petrol for over Rs 100 a litre for past several days.
