Thiruvananthapuram: Fuel price has increased for the fifth continuous day in the state on Monday. The price of diesel increased by 31 paise and petrol by 26 paise.
One litre of petrol now costs Rs 90.87 in Thiruvananthapuram whereas a litre of diesel is at Rs 85.31. This is the ninth time that fuel price has increased this month.
Meanwhile, the renewed rate of LPG cylinders will come into effect from Monday. There has been an increase of Rs 50 per cylinder. The cost of a cylinder has gone up from Rs 719 to Rs 769.
Meanwhile, petrol price has crossed Rs 100 in Parbhani, near Aurangabad. Petrol Dealer Association President, Amol Bedusurkar said that it crossed Rs 100 after Sunday. Petrol is taken to Parbhani to Manmad from Nashik. The difference in price here is caused by the extra transportation charges. There is 340 km between Parbhani and Manmad and it costs Rs 3,000 per tanker.
